Author: Cata Salazar-De Jesus

Book: Christianity

Year of Release: 2009

Cata De Jesus has put together a collection of essays that delves into snippets of life lessons in a Christian perspective. The miniscule book contains 23 essays that packs a powerful punch of personal stories centered on living a Christ-controlled life. Written in a simple and straight forward way each story presents subtle realizations and provokes thoughts between the reader and his/her relationship with God.

Here you will find what does really matter in 'A Few Things Of Great Importance' as the author enumerates things of authentic worth. The problem in buying ?ve pesos worth of God when in truth God is immeasurable and pricelesss in 'God in a Cubbyhole'. Riding the boat with God during a storm in 'Sudden Storms'. Family relationships from marriage to raising children in 'When a Marriage Fails' and 'Women, Wars and Weddings' just to name a few.

The author generously imparts her own understanding and observation on consciously living a life in Christ in a world choked by the everyday demands of a secular life. This series of essays clearly depicts the beauty of having a God-controlled life which transcends into inspiring the reader to strive to achieve a life lived for God's glory as portrayed in the true to life stories presented in the book.

As I read through the 186 pages of life lessons and stories, it was like gathering nuggets of wisdom that made me evaluate my personal relationship with Christ. It has reiterated in me to live each day in conscious thought of God and to strive to glorify God in every aspect of my life.

Culled from incredible personal stories of experiencing God, the writing in the book warms and comforts the soul just like a bowlful of chicken soup. And inspires the readers to everyday living in Christ.
